List of Ballard’s cases reversed on appeal

  • Selfe v. State 2008 GACA A07A2162 – 013008 (2008) – State failed to properly indict case resulting in charges against this accused child predator to be reversed. Approximately 20 other cases against child predators that were similarly indicted face reversal. Read The Full Decision
  • Middlebrooks v. State, 277 Ga. App. 551 (2006) – failed to prove charge of identity fraud beyond a reasonable doubt.
  • Johnson v. State, 637 SE 2d 775 (2006) – methamphetamine and marijuana possession conviction reversed based on fact that State failed to link evidence to defendant.
  • Colwell v. State,  280 Ga. 291 (2006) Court of Appeals Justice Sears chastises Ballard for failing to correct a faulty indictment until after he realized it was going to be subject to review by the Georgia Court of Appeals.
  • Gresham v. State, 281 Ga. App. 116 (2006) – child molestation conviction reversed.
  • Bibbins v. State, 280 Ga. 283 (2006) – drug case; issues appealed before properly argued before the court.
